The weird study programme of my career

Image
So one of the things that really annoys me about my career is that my career is weird. What I'm trying to say is that it's really confusing sometimes, the university has this vision of making professionals educated to make changes for the good of the country and because of this they take complex decisions, like combining humanists' vision with technical ways of educating. I don't think that this is a problem really, i like it, but for the majority that entered this career to make videos or film in a technical non so political way, it's so confusing and frustrating. The worst part is that there is not enough time to get everything done. 5 years for this career is too little time, because here we’re techached about communication but for that they have to teach us about sociology, anthropology, semiology, journalism, etc. And in the other side we have arts, photography, sound and sound design  (close to sound engineering), writing (scripts), editing (nerdy pc stuf

Where i would like to go in the future!

Image
So I'm huge nerd and there isn't anywhere really where i would like to go, but what I would like to know is how the technology would progress in the next 10 years, and how XR (Virtual Reality + Augmented Reality) would take over the majority of the consumer space, and really, all of society.      Sounds weird and also like a lot, but it's a reality that will come. Meta (previously Facebook) estimated that in 10 years probably everyone would be rocking some XR device like glasses or VR viewers, and all of them would be connected in the Metaverse that is like the whole internet but 2.0, that would act like a second parallel reality for us, where the physical limitations won't exist.      So I would like to go 10 years ahead from this same place, take a look at the world, the internet, devices, etc. Then after all the shock, do some research and come back to this time with some inspiration to develop for the future.      That is what I would like to do, go and take a

Filmmaking! (and maybe VR)

Image
Sometime ago just by casuality i met some videographers because i joined a friend to a filming. I’m also studying that, but they're already working in the real world. The thing is that I helped in the filming as a gaffer and I loved it! Then we shared contacts and we went home. I followed them on instagram and they share a lot of what they're doing. They show their camera rigs, the lighting, locations, and having a lot of fun and holy moly, i want to do that. My plan is to do my professional practise with them and then stay for some experience. Currently I'm studying Cinema and Tv and I'm working on some title projects as a DP (Director of Photography). And what i love the most is that we travel a lot as a team to locations in different places of Chile. I love to work outdoors with a lot of people as a team, and I would like to do this for a big part of the rest of my life. But at the same time, currently I'm working in investigations and developing content for VR (

Ketcha

Image
I used to have a pet, she was called Ketcha, a really pretty and beautiful cat that was rescued from a trash can. Some douchebag threw a lot of baby cats in a public trash can and a veterinary student rescued them and he took them to the university, where the cats were treated and then given in adoption. I got a white fluffy cat that I called ketcha.       She was rude, her attitude really hard and aggressive. No one could touch her, no cat, no Dog, no human, except for me and my sister. We were the only ones allowed by her to pet her.  But at the same time she was so elegant, straight posture, she judged you with her sight, she was a total diva. One interesting thing tho was that she acted pretty much like a dog, she liked to follow me everywhere i went and go out to the streets like a dog. She was so unique.   But one Christmas when we as a family went out at look for Santa, as we went back home Ketcha disappeared and never came back. We looked for her for weeks but that was use

Childhood series

Image
So when I was a child my family didn't have cable tv, only national antena tv. That ment that I watched national animated series a lot, like Los Pulentos, Diego y Glot and of course my favorite 31 Minutos.                  But that wasn't just because I liked it (31 minutos), my father is a musician and he loved it too so he was the one who insisted that I watch it. Also every time that there was a special episode in primetime, my grandpa used to call me on the phone to remind me to watch it lol. Later on Los pulentos came out and I loved it too. The best part was the music with Anita Tijoux singing as Nea. The stories also were so real and fun, situations that reflect in a pretty accurate way the Chilean ways of life. And one last show that makes me sad because it was streamed on tv only once is Diego y Glot, this show has a special spot in my heart, really i don’t know how to explain it but i feel like that show reflects so much of my infancy. Well that’s it folks!

Brasil!!!!

Brasil!!!! Brazil is the best of the best, I don't have any other words to describe it. In 2019 just before the pandemic i went over there with my family in the carnaval times for two weeks. Rio to be exact and Jesus, the vibe over there is another thing, for real.                         The energy of the people, the landscapes, the music, the beach, the food, the city itself, love it. Everything is covered in green, there is so much vegetation in the streets and all in this cold deep green not like the yellowish light green we see over here in Santiago. But, the only thing that may be an issue, even exhausting for some, was the weather. On one of the days I was over there, the temperature reached 42°C in mid day, and at night like 23:00 PM the temperature reached 30° C. It's just crazy. But with the beach, some Caipirinhas, food, a lot of sun screen, and music, the weather doesn't matter anymore. And the best thing is that the water of the ocean isn't cold at all, it

France!

France! I would love to visit France, my dream is to be in Paris at the 2024 Olympics and watch the whole event there. Also i would like to visit the french alps and normandy.  Since I was in school I have been really interested in history and all of these important human events that have changed the world in one or more ways. It was in France that the basis for the republics were founded, and that process (the french revolution) changed the world forever to basically make it like what it is right now.  An other huge important moment in the history, the operation overlord (Battle of normandy) happend in france, and it's objective was to liberate France from the Nazi occupation. It was the biggest ever in history deployment of troops in an militar operation. The historicity of this country fascinates me and I want to hear the stories by themselves. Also i would love to get to know the french alps because a french friend of mine showed me pics of a trip that she did over there, and i
